Several years ago, I had the opportunity to work with a professional soccer player. He’s the club captain of a famous soccer club in England.
Back in Jan/Feb he was really struggling with digestive problems, low energy levels and low moods. This was hardly surprising given his stool test result.
If you look at the test result you can see he had:
- Very low levels of Lactobacilli (friendly or “good” bacteria)
- An overgrowth of Achromobacter (which should be there)
- H. pylori
- A strong yeast and fungal overgrowth
- Blastocystis hominis
To address these issues, we took the following action steps:
- Change and optimize diet to remove all gut-irritating foods, and include more foods that help the body make energy.
- Specific protocols to rebalance the “bugs” in his gut:
- Remove H. pylori (he did a round of triple therapy antibiotics with his club doctor, and then followed up with herbs)
b. Remove yeast (using herbs only)
c. Remove parasites (herbs only)
d. Restore “friendly” bacteria levels (using a very specific probiotic product)
Here are his retest results, which I received earlier in the week.
You can see that the Achromobacter, H. pylori and Blastocystis have gone, and the yeast has been reduced from a +3 to a +1 overgrowth. His Lactobacillus levels are also much better.
My client is feeling in tip-top shape, his energy levels are vastly improved, he no longer has low moods and he’s back playing soccer regularly for his club.
His progress shows how the gut can be a major source of poor health in what I call the Seven Areas of Health, which are:
- Digestion (obviously)
- Energy
- Mood
- Sex
- Skin
- Chronic pain
- Sleep
If you’re struggling with your health in any of these seven areas, I can almost guarantee you have issues with your gut (even if you don’t have gut symptoms).
The gut allows things into your body that need to be there, and blocks things that shouldn’t be there.
When it’s damaged, you won’t get enough good stuff into your body, and you will get too much bad stuff entering your body.
As my client found, even supposedly fit and healthy people like professional athletes can have messed up digestion, so don’t take a chance.
And it all starts with a stool test. Don’t forget, they are done in the privacy of your own home – you just send off a sample in the packaging provided.
There is nothing to lose – if it comes back ‘blank’ you get a full refund.
You can arrange a test, or find out more about them, here.
Best
Dave
